SLOANE: (Laughs, tapping her glowing red digital pen against the glass) "Number one in their charts, but number one on Director Sterling's monitoring list too! When we dropped 'Public Beta', the board wanted polished, auto-tuned synth pop. I brought my polycarbonate cello, slammed a 2000s tube fuzz pedal onto the floor, and sang in conversational staccato. They called it a 'diagnostic error.' The fans called it a revolution."

TONE & SIGNAL: The string arrangements on 'Adrenalina Elétrica' sound unlike anything in conventional pop. What was the production process in Zenith Studio 01?
SLOANE: "Most pop producers treat cellos like a warm, polite background blanket. I treat my cello like a chainsaw. We mic'd my polycarbonate frame through an overdriven bass rig and ran it at 15.5 kHz. In 'Heartbreak Headache', every bow chop sounds like a spark firing in an engine block."
